Q: How often should I water my new plants?
A: For the most part 3 times a week for the first two weeks after initial
planting.Q: How can I tell if I should water?
A; Always check the soil first, stick your finger in the soil around the
root ball and if soil sticks to your finger usually the plant is hydrated.
Q: If it rains should I skip a day of watering .
A: No, unless it rained 1 inch or more and check soil conditions.
Q: Can I rely on my turf irrigation system to water my plants .
A: No, a standard turf irrigation system is designed to water grass only.
Using that system will not effectively water all of your shrubs, perennials
and trees with the proper amounts of water they need. However a drip system
can be adapted to your current system that will water your plants correctly.
Q: Should I fertilize my new plants?
A: Yes, fertilizing new plant and existing plants is recommended with a slow
release fertilizer. Such as Plantone or Hollytone.
Q: Can I do my landscape project in phases?
A: Absolutely, the majority of projects are usually done in phases.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, the company has a multi-million dollar liability policy, our
employees have worker’s comp and all of our equipment is fully insured. An
insurance certificate can be supplied upon request.
Q: How long should I leave the tree stakes in for?
A: One year or at least one full growing season.
Q: Will the barried drain tile that connects to my gutters be a problem in
the winter?
A: No, the water will drain out of the tubes however excessive amounts of
leaves in the gutter could plug the system.
